Ok, let me answer some questions!

We'll feature as many RPs in each Digest as we get summaries submitted. If you don't want to submit every week, you don't have to -- it's not like you'll lose your spot, or anything. Just send in an update when you feel it's appropriate.

I think that for the first one, just a general "here's what's going on" will be appropriate. If that takes a bit more than 100 words, that's ok, but I don't want novels, people! The digest can't be 50 pages long, or it defeats the purpose.

No images at this time, sorry. Perhaps in the future.

Also, the first Digest will be running on August 3rd. Some people have already sent in summaries -- unless you want that to be your first submission (and I'm fine with that) -- I suggest you resubmit a summary by this coming Sunday, August 2nd.

Exuding confidence does impress, but only when you have something about which to be confident.

Sounds wonderful! I'll be sure to submit summaries for the Citadel.

I was ready to get excited and then I remembered just how slow QoH actually moves. Weekly updates? Not much point for me...

Monthly, perhaps?

Quarterly?

At least you aren't in the middle of Robot Dystopia. I think I've had a sharpshooter MAR-S unit taking aim for several months now.

True, but some RPs move quite swiftly. It's also useful for people who have to go away for a while.

Wahey! Only one more day until our RP's grace the Escapist front page.

I smell badges.

This is a topic. All penmanship is of the highest quality. It is embroidered with rings of win. It menaces with spikes made of awesomeness.
On the topic is team of editors. The editors have a great idea. The great idea commemorates the viewing of the Role Playing forum by tons of people in August, 2009.

Seriously, I love this. What better way than to catch up on all the inventive Role Playing threads. I'll be sure to read this every month.

Just finished my summary, and I have this to say: goddamn is it hard to get everything into just a hundred words.

90% of your RP can't be seen by the public though. Too much scheming!

RP Digest #1 should be going up in just a bit, and thanks to everyone who submitted a synopsis! I think they all turned out very well, even with the draconian word limit. :)

In future, however, please remember, folks, that in addition to the synopsis, I need:

The Name of the RP
The Name of the Host (person(s) running the RP)
A link to the RP

The more you make me look for that information, the crankier I shall be.

Thank god I gave you all the information. Angry Susan Ardent is scary :(

Hope the Digest goes down well. It'll be nice to get the other members of the forum involved in some RPing. We always need new members.

The only that makes me angrier, in fact, are people calling me Ardent. ;)

I'm afraid to report that there will be a delay in the launch of the RP Digest. Most folks who sent in a submission sent in a summary of the entire RP, as opposed to a blurb that would bring us up to speed on what's been happening lately. Upon reflection, I think that might be confusing for folks -- they may start thinking the Digest is a place to advertise their RPs, which it isn't.

So, in the interests of getting this right from the beginning, I'm going to email those folks so they can supply a blurb about what's been happening recently in their RPs.

Sparrow Tag did a great job with his submission, as did Zemelac -- you may want to ask them for pointers.

I really do apologize for the delay, but I think we all agree that we want this to be the best it can be, so that RPs will continue to thrive. Thanks very much for your patience.

Aha! Come to me folks, I'm a fountain of knowledge.

And erm, ahem. That was a spelling mistake. Most definately a spelling mistake.

Oh, god. I never gave you the link! I can give it to you if you still need it, unless you are already done.

And if you want Ardent, you can cut off those last part of my submission that advertises it. I wasn't really sure, so I went ahead and added it.

I do believe Susan is putting the finishing touches to the page.

I appear to be wrong.

Gah! I forgot the link!

...but it seems I was mentioned as one of the people who did it correctly.

Huh.

Should I just assume you have a link to my RP, then? If not...here you go.

Ok, after a wee bit of tweaking, we're ready to go! The first edition of the Digest will be going up in just a few hours.

Thanks to everyone who sent in rewrites -- your speedy response was very much appreciated.

And it's Arendt, folks. Says so right over there on the left. ;)

The way Susan says it in Review Video's is sort of like "Are-n'dt-"

It sounds exactly like the contraction for "are not," and given that the D comes after the E, I can't see how it could possibly sound anything like Ardent.

Harrumph.

Well, you'd be grumpy, too, if people had been getting your name wrong your entire life. When I was a telemarketer, I actually kept a list of the ways people got it wrong. I think my favorites were Arm, North, and Orange.

Hey, it's up!

Hmmm...

The headers seem off. When the title of the RP goes on to a second line the tops of the letters and the bottom of the previous line intersect. Besides that, it looks great. I like the picture, especially.

I fully condone that, Miss Arendt. I'd be pissed. It's honestly quite easy to pronounce. Not like Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116. It's pronounced "Albin".
On topic, I'm really looking forward to the digest. ^_^
Edit: And it is glorious.
