Well it's been a few months since my last RP fell apart due to a lack of popularity, and essentially every RP I've had before that has failed, generally because people get bored and leave. I'm back for another go though, this time with a gang war between rival biker gangs.

The Dogs of War were a London based biker group, comprising of only nine members. The original club leader was Vince Hacker, more commonly known in biker circles as "Crunch" because of a particularly brutal fight wherein he crushed a man's skull with his boot. In 2006 he was found dead in his gang's cheap clubhouse, a disused barn, with two bullets in his skull. Upon later revelation he had been found to have stolen £300,000 and a car full of heroin from some very serious people in Liverpool, and was mourned by the small but growing group. Under his two years of leadership they had grown in size to 12 full-patch members, and 7 prospects (A biker's patch is his gang's patch, sewn onto his jacket. A full-patch wears the actual insignia while prospects, people under consideration for membership, wear a "half-patch". The same insignia but with the word "prospect" stamped underneath the gang's logo) with associates and friends that nearly doubled that number. Under a vote of 9 to 2 with 1 abstained, a new leader named Cyclops was elected. A vicious fighter and a ruthless commander, Cyclops personally ordered the deaths of thirty-two people on his first day of power. Under his rule, the club tightened and in two months had stopped accepting new members. In four months Cyclops had made over £450,000 for the club, while he was paranoid and a white supremacist, he brought in money like no other gang of his size. Eight months into his reign he decided that he had accumulated enough money to open up the gang again, this time with a new clubhouse in North London. A pub that had been converted into an armoury gone brothel was the new location for dealings amongst the Dogs' 22 full-patch members. With underground bike storage, heavy security and numerous rooms for members to lounge and relax, it was a definite step up from the barn in the country. In August 2007 it was a known fact that The Dogs of War were a nasty but small gang not to be messed with. By this point Cyclops' paranoia had gotten worse and he began making irrational decisions. He had his own cousin killed, and personally cracked down on people he suspected, mostly incorrectly, of being undercover police. He immediately adopted the 17 prospects into the club, to make up the numbers after his crackdown, and rose the gang's ranks to a sizeable 34 full-patch members that he trusted enough to not be traitors.

Unfortunately he was wrong. One of the members, a previous prospect named Ironfist, happened to be an infiltrator. With The Dogs of War becoming such a large threat to biker gang pecking order in London, it was seen fit by another small gang named "Satan's Avengers" to disrupt their rapid growth. These Avengers controlled the drug trade in North London for three years until The Dogs grew to such a large number, their affiliates, friends and assosciates numbering almost a hundred bikes not to mention the hard core of the club, the full-patches. Ironfist was found out when his bike was stolen by some stupid chavs who didn't exactly know what they were getting into. When The Dogs tracked down the bike and its thief, they tortured the idiot and sliced his tendons open on his ankles and knees. As the members dispatched to recover the wheels were taking it home, they noticed some very odd. The teenager had started to scrape the paint off, to disguise it, and underneath and dark red and black colours of The Dogs was a deep blue and the corner of the letter 's'. After a great deal of careful scraping, it was discovered that the bike was a respray job, belonging to a Satan's Avenger. Ironfist was tracked down to the home of the club's treasurer, Icepick, and was killed instantly when discovered standing over an unconscious biker and the club's financial dealings records.

Considering this an act of war, Cyclops sent The Dogs on a warpath, recruiting over a hundred and fifty sets of wheels to find the Satan's Avengers, but they were a small gang of very, very clever people who hid expertly. Under the wing of a slightly larger gang, The Bloody Demons. Between them both, their numbers equalled about two thirds of The Dogs of War, but their members were the hardest bikers in the country, and were not to be messed with. For the past three months, a constant and terrible war has ravaged the streets of London, with over fourty deaths already, it is showing no signs of stopping.

From you guys, there'll be five-a-side, that is, five for The Dogs of War (have to be white, run by a racist) and five for the other two combined (can be non-whites but it's more likely to be whites anyway). I will be playing the character of Cyclops in my capacity as GM, and my co-leader is Birras, who will be playing the role of the leader of The Bloody Demons, who is the de facto leader of both gangs on his side of the war. His choice about who his character is.

I want character sheets set out like this :

Name : Real one first, then your biker name. Biker names are derived from some great event, a prominent physical or mental characteristic, or something in your character's life, be sure to include the details in your bio.
Gang : Whichever gang you belong to.
Age : 25-45 please, no full-patch members are accepted too young and I don't want anyone running around remember when everything around here was fields.
Description : Your character's appearance, clothes, height and attributes important to the character. And a quick description of your bike please.
Bio : History, the meaning of your nickname, anything else you want to include, such as loyalties, beliefs and background. Please have some interesting stuff and a little detail at the least.

Any questions, please feel free to ask. And Birras, I'm expecting a character sheet from you too.

Reserved. I'll edit in a character sheet if that's okay. Will there be a user group for this or will it be a thread?

Edit: I took the name from the Sandman comics but I liked it so...

I haven't done gear or anything, I assumed that'd be up to you.

Well this is the UK. We have some of the tightest gun control laws in the world, so I'm expecting knives, bats and objects mostly, with some handguns sparesly chucked in. I don't want someone pulling an AK47 when I'm only expecting a couple of pistols.

EDIT : I'm also expecting stuff like hammers that are readily available, but converted. Over here weapons are generally like that. Like a hammer with a sharpened spike on it. Be creative. However the bike chain is a traditionial weapon. Be it a knuckle duster-style wrapped around your fist, or used for a chain-whipping, I'm looking forward to some chain scars appearing.

Out of simple curiosity, and not pyromania, how readily available are homemade weapons like molotov cocktails or pipe bombs? Rare, available only to characters who show a love of tinkering or fairly free?

Well I could mock up a molotov in five minutes without any real difficulty, but I live on a farm and have access to lots of petrol, empty bottles and flammable rags.

I wonder if any of the gangsters have read the anarchists cookbook. Thermite ftw (yes I realise we probably won't get that).

Name: Connor Lier a.k.a. Atlas
Gang: Dogs of War
Age: 29

History: Connor got his nickname from Atlas, the Titan whose strength knew no bounds. Connor is easily the biggest and strongest member within the Dogs. However, unlike Atlas of old, Connor has some brains in him. He gets many of the assignments no-one else can do. 'the Apostle' once saved his life, and Lier never forgets a debt.

Description: Standing at 7' and 250 lb, Connor is a veritable giant. His favorite weapon is a pair of fingerless gloves, covered with steel plating and topped with three inch high conical spikes on the knuckle. these do not impede his finger movement at all. he has also sharpened his bike chain from about 5 in. up, ending in a razor-sharp tip. Connor rides a modified Kawasaki Ninja, covered with extra plating for defense and ramped up horsepower to compensate for his weight.

Seems fine enough.

EDIT : I'll put up a sheet to, for fun and just good measure.

Name: Jake Forth a.k.a. Cyclops
Gang: Dogs of War
Age: 37

History: Cyclops was a biker back in the old days, when being a biker amounted to little more than abusing heroin and growing a beard. He was always a twitchy guy, nervous and frightened to check every last detail of anything he did. Ironically, what appeared to be his strength turned into his weakness. He was brawling a fellow biker who had spilled his drink on his jacket, and was beating the guy into the ground. Always a formidable fighter he was almost upon the killing strike when a fellow gang member of his opponent thumped him in the back of the head. He collapsed to his knees, and soon was engaged in a nasty bare-knuckled fist fight, forgetting his original target. His previous punching bag had risen to his feet, and put on some brass knuckles. Ready to punch him in the jaw, Jake spun round and took the full force of the punch right to the side of his eye, bursting it in a splatter of goo. He likes the scars and likes to "wink" at people to make the cracks seem more gruesome. He was never a very thoughtful tactician, always hot-heated, but thorough. His serious drug problems increased his dangerous paranoia, and now, bogged down in an all-out war, his mind's at its breaking point.

Description: Short guy, at 5'8, but well muscled and square. Likes to wear a bandana, with the Dogs of War colours. wears his black, matted hair long down his shoulders and a short, grisly beard. Wears a knee-length black leather coat outside and in cold weather, but relaxes in a red t-shirt under his Dogs leather jacket, with a black leather open waistcoat and black jeans.

He-yo Birras. i hope God loves you, 'cause you're gonna come out of this as a bloody, broken pulp. Chuck Norris taught me personally his 10 steps to becoming a Badass. I can't wait to try 'em out on you.

Well, ok, I'll try.

Edited: sorry, I'm rather tired. I've corrected those mistakes.

Edit (again): Right, feel free to ignore this if you don't like it, but this is an expansion on the original details my character had. I thought them up yesterday when I created him, but I was tired and forgot to put some of the details in.

I also corrected some grammatical errors I made.

You silly fool! If you let them meet Chuck Norris personally, your gang won't be bigger for much longer! Don't you remember what happened to the Olsen triplets? Or the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Or the Sahara Forest!?!

Well, ok, I'll try.

Not bad, but I'd recomend a little refinement of the details, especially the musket pistol. Seriously? String and a fishing weight I'll allow, but I'd recommend making that string into something more durable/killable, like wire. As for being the gang's best hitman... I've already got a couple of fighters. While you'll all need fighting ability I want some originality, you don't all have to be hitmen. At the very least some better weapons, perhaps some more details on the hitman thing, and some other task, like drug trafficking or illegal gambling.

EDIT : Oh, and how you got that nickname. Nicknames are based on events or characteristics, and I don't have a clue where that comes from.

EDIT Mark 2 :

Not complaining about the character itself too much, lacking in originality but good ennough. However you'll need more detail in your Bio. It all seems too brief and shortened. You don't need a life story, or even how you got into the gang, but show a little more finesse and talent than "He quickly rose through the ranks after his fighting prowess got him out of many bad situations." Care to name one or two? Or how you stand out?

Some characterisation is all I ask.

Let it be known, Dogs, Demons and Avengers alike. The Head GM of this RP, my enemy, was served just a few minuted ago in a major RP discussion/trash talk session on Xbox LIVE. The fight left Octy with severe third-degree burns, a large stutter and horrible nightmares about being served like a bitch. Except it's not a nightmare, it is all too real. That is all.

Oaf. You cannot burn... what is so cool! Bumpage is helpful, and Sentinel, no way am I letting your character in with a three line bio, that is unoriginal to boot. Just flesh it out, more details and experiences and I'll stop the unoriginality complaint.

As fighters for a biker gang? Sorry, but no. Most gangs are racist and sexist at best, and biker chicks ride along behind the bikers. They could be club members I guess, but not sent out to fight.

On second thoughts, as long as you compensate for womenliness with some badass character power then I'll consider it. I'd have to see the character.

Name : Lex Correy. "Cain".
Gang : Dogs of War.
Age : 45.
Description : A relatively tall, fat, middle aged man who generally wears a denim vest, a tshirt, and jeans. Hair is thinning. His bike is an old fashioned black chopper.

Bio :
At the age of 15, Lex Correy was down on his luck. His parents had been dead for a year. His brother, who he lived with, beat him constantly. It was also through his brother that he made his first connection to the drug world. His brother was a crackhead, and made Lex go out late at night and buy some for him.

One day though, Lex came home and found his brother on the floor, suffering from an overdose. Realizing how vulnerable his brother was, Lex went outside and picked up a brick. Inside the house, he used it to beat his brother to death, thus giving him the name "Cain."

6 years later, Lex was paroled from prison. He used some of his prison contacts to set up a meeting with the Dogs. After a long and grueling initiation, Lex proved himself worthy of being called a Dog of War.

Lex may have loved the gang life, but he wanted to live a normal life as well. At the age of twenty-four, he got married. However, upon learning that her husband was in a gang, Lex's wife left him. This drove him into a deep depression, causing him to drink and do all sorts of drugs. Luckily, three years later, a friend of Lex's was able to drag him to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. It took a while, but eventually, Lex was sober.

Although he was sober, he did not want to leave the Dogs of War. They had become a family to him. A family that he was willing to protect. At least, back then he was willing to protect it. Lex had been a good friend of Vince Hacker, who had been the father that he never had. Vince, as a sign of good faith, named Lex his second in command for the last few months of his life.

After Vince's untimely passing, Lex had assumed that he, as the oldest member of the gang, would then take up the mantle of leader, and was angry that Cyclops was chosen instead. Although Cyclops was successful financially, Lex could not stand the constant racism. The Dogs were not meant to stand for this.

Although Lex hates Cyclops, he tries his best to assist him. Lex realizes that the success of the gang is unprecedented, and that Cyclops is responsible for that. Lex just hopes that Cyclops' racism will stop and that the paranoia will calm down. If forced to though, Lex will undermine the boss to do whats right for the gang.

As the oldest member of the gang, Lex is respected by almost everybody.

There you go. Just a warning, I tend to forget about RPs from time to time, if I ever go more than 2 days without posting and I don't warn you before hand, just PM me to remind me!

:)

Awesome. I love it when I'm RPing with you, you're just fun.

Welcome to the club, and I do love the political intrigue. It wasn't an angle I'd considered, but a face-off between leader and leuitenant could be fun.

EvilJoe1:
Name : Vincent Logan Smith/"Comet" or "Charger"

Gang : Dogs of War

Age : 35

Description : Comet is a very large, very muscular man standing at around 6'6". Comet very rarely takes of his mask ( http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5SE6F5ypse0/SoChnNXVq-I/AAAAAAAAAJs/-4BLEMkjHKU/s1600-h/SSC5+.jpg ) or his home made armour that is a combination of steel and kevlar making him almost bulletproof. Under the armour he has literally hundereds of scars all over his body and one large one on the right side of his face.

Bio :

sorry about the unfinised character but ive got to go to be like 10 minutes ago i'll edit it tomorrow

Some light body armour I'll allow, but you're a biker. You not only want to look scary and probably pretty good, but you've got to be mobile in case of attack, plus you've got to be able to ride a motorbike. I'll wait for your bio to see if I like the character, but I've already got one giant in the gang. I'd like some variety, and the scrapping of being bulletproof. That's borderline godmoding, since you can't really be harmed.
